22 week sono

Today I had my 22 week sono appt. Everything looked great, and yes its still a girl! She had her head turned so we only got to see half of her face this time. All her organs look good & I also found out that I have an anterior placenta. So thats the reason I havent felt much movement,(whew! Maybe now I'll finally stop worrying so much) the doctor said its basically like putting a steak between me & the baby (gross right!?!)
Her heartbeat was 150 & she weighs 1lb 4oz, which is slightly bigger than average (not surprising, haha!)
So they said technically Im considered 23 weeks, even though my due date wont change, I will have another sono at 36 weeks to measure again. With Reese I always measured 2 weeks ahead!
Here's the side of her face, you can see her ear pretty good!
Girl parts...
And her feet :)

I've been feeling good, exercising & still have good energy.
I havent craved too much... Im sure this one will be a picky eater because nothing sounds good!
Her room is painted & as soon as we decide on a name (its close! We've narrowed it down to 2!) I can work on the fun stuff!
Thats all for now, thanks for looking...

Jalapeno Poppers

Today Im sharing one of my new found favs, thanks to my neighbor lady. Ive never been a big fan of jalapenos, but she made these with lunch one day & insisted I try one! I took one thinking yuck, but didnt want to offend her, so I ate it & Ive been hooked ever since & make them quite often now. Needless to say I tried not to be too big of a pig & I went back for two more!
Oh & did I mention they are super simple- only 3 ingredients!!
So, all you do is cut the stem of the peppers & core... Be careful you dont rub your eyes or anything! I wash mine after to make sure I got all the seeds...
Then fill with cream cheese...
And wrap with bacon...
I stick a toothpick in mine so we can just eat them like little appetizers.
Cover with foil & bake at 400 for 60 min.  If you are pressed for time you can also do 450 for 30 min, but the longer you cook them they get that slow roasted thing going on.
Enjoy!!

Wine Bar

Ok, so this is the last "catching up" post I have, so I promise no more Christmas decor after this!
I absolutely LOVE getting all the Christmas decorations out & I love how it all looks, but its such a relief to get it all put away too! Am I the only one that feels that way?
Its a little sad when its all over, all the hard work you put into everything... the shopping, the wrapping, the baking & cooking, decorating, traveling, etc etc! And its all over so soon, but I wouldnt skip it for anything!
Christmas just wouldnt be the same without all the hustle & bustle, and yet its sad that so many of us get wrapped up in that, that we forget the real meaning of Christmas.
Anyway, Im rambling! So, onto the decor!

My last little area of my Christmas decor is my wine bar area. (And yes I just realized I didnt take any pictures of my bookshelves, so I guess those will have to wait until next year)
Nothing too exciting, just a cute little area I like to decorate...
Just a simple tray & some greenery
This old window is great to decorate all year round, but I will say its my favorite at Christmas :)
My little ones Christmas picture this year...

Thanks as always for stopping by!!

My House At Christmas

I know Christmas was over a week ago now, but I've been meaning to post some of my stuff. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my house at Christmas- its so cozy & the lights are so pretty & everything's so nicely decorated...
I took all these pictures with my phone, so sorry about the poor quality, but it was the only way I would get it done & lets face it- Im behind anyway :(
So, here's my tree...
And my tree at night...
With little Reese helping me decorate!

And the little corner by the tree...
My $1.00 garage sale chair, a few pillows, & a cute little snowman that was a gift from a dear friend.

My adorable little 5 legged antique table that my aunt gave to me... Im so lucky!
The tray came from Pottery Barn, the candlesticks my in laws gave me for my birthday, & that cornice lookin thing I scored at Tuesday Morning.
That flower arrangement I got at the antique mall where I also have my booth, it caught my eye & it was cheap, so of course, had to have it!! Especially because you dont find flower arrangements for cheap!!

Next, my dining room table, I kept it pretty simple, with just a table runner & my over-sized white tray (came from Swiss Colony) I added a candle & two greenery swags & pinecones... Thats it!

I have another similar on the kitchen counter... A wood bowl, also from Swiss Colony...
And these little baskets are always here, I just threw some greenery & a sign on them to dress them up a bit :)

Thanks as always for looking & hope you all had a very Merry Christmas....
Kelly :)

Gender Reveal!!

Im late of course posting this one & most of you know by now that we are having a girl, but with the holidays Ive been busy & I couldnt announce it on my blog.

So, on Dec 2nd we had an appointment for an ultrasound & the results... GIRL!!

If you've read my past posts y'all know that I took one of those "Intelligender" over the counter tests, well it was wrong ( unless the ultrasound tech is wrong, we'll see.) But as I said when I took that test. Im not holding my breath on the results, I honestly shouldn't have wasted my money, but my curiosity got the best of me. My advice for the future, dont waste the money...

Anyway...back to the ultrasound...
This was our baby at 17 weeks...

The funny thing is I was dying to know with this one what we were having... Deep down I really thought it was a girl, but since I took that silly test & it said boy I was all confused! So when she said girl, I wasnt at all shocked or surprised, I was like "what!?!" I knew I was right!! Silly test!
Its still a little early to tell, but I think she already looks like Reese :)

The plan was we were going to put the gender reveal in our Christmas cards, but we told our families & friends they had to wait until Christmas to find out what we were having. I was dying to tell & it was SO hard not to slip!! But we did it! We pulled it off & it was a great surprise... Especially because most thought it was a boy!
So here's what our Christmas cards looked like...

And then we had to make some fun for Reese with it. So this is how we told her...

She had fun playing with the balloons, even though she doesnt know what they mean :)

Now... Let the name battle begin!!

Fast & Easy Turtles

I wanted to share a quick little treat that we made for the staff at the daycare for Christmas. We dipped the pretzels & the crackers & peanut butter in white chocolate, made some mini- brownie cups & these turtles.... They are so fast & easy & YUMMY!!

Oops, I didnt take an after picture :(
So all you do is preheat the oven to 250, layer some pretzels on a cookie sheet & put a Rolo on top. Put in the oven for about 3-4 min- you dont want the Rolo to melt, just to be soft, then take out of the oven & top with a pecan.
The biggest pain about these is unwrapping the Rolo's! Luckily I had a little helper who loved to unwrap them!

Put them all together in a pretty Christmas tin & you have a simple, yummy gift :)

Spaghetti Squash

Hi All!! Ok so I know Im WAY behind, so Im hopefully going to post a few things in the next couple days to get caught up- yikes!
So I am now just over 21 weeks & I have officially popped! Too much Christmas food maybe!?! Haha!

So, the baby this week is the size of a spaghetti squash (weighing a pound now & about 8 inches in length)
Im FINALLY feeling movements & my husband got to feel it a couple times too. I was very nervous last week because I hadnt really felt any movement yet, I kept thinking come on, any day now, you should be moving!! I thought I felt something here & there, but I never knew if it was gas, or baby- lol! So yes, I officially have felt movements now & Im very happy!!
I go back to the dr next week for another sono & they'll measure all the baby's organs, so Im excited I'll get to see her again :) And yes, by the way its a girl! I havent did my gender reveal post yet :-/
