Hope your all doing great! I have another exciting project I wanted to share (well exciting for me anyway!) Because I have a new dresser!! YAY!! We've lived here almost 3 months now & Im finally getting a dresser! I sold our old set right before we moved here, so we were using part of the entertainment center...<br />
<div>
</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-nu2KiIGrGWg/Uh2GZEgkl2I/AAAAAAAAAwM/dK-dXZ0rWdw/s640/blogger-image--2015236093.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-nu2KiIGrGWg/Uh2GZEgkl2I/AAAAAAAAAwM/dK-dXZ0rWdw/s640/blogger-image--2015236093.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
It served its purpose, but I wasnt in love with it. We really didnt need that much dresser space because we have separate closets & actually my husband keeps all his things in these bins...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-yyinEm5hWMY/Uh_y94eseoI/AAAAAAAAA3c/INwJeJ1GqWk/s640/blogger-image-1776772915.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-yyinEm5hWMY/Uh_y94eseoI/AAAAAAAAA3c/INwJeJ1GqWk/s640/blogger-image-1776772915.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
But, I found this dresser on Craigslist (actually 2 of them! which Ill save the other for another day, Its a tall one) This lady said her mom had these dressers for 45 years- I love the hardware & the legs!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sHDqZXVKUg4/Uh7U-CZ2Y1I/AAAAAAAAAxw/maaKR71jCMQ/s1600/DSC_0091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sHDqZXVKUg4/Uh7U-CZ2Y1I/AAAAAAAAAxw/maaKR71jCMQ/s320/DSC_0091.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
I actually thought about putting it in the dining room- Im looking for a buffet type thing to go in there, but I decided that could wait, so bedroom dresser it is!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-InhrOJ1IRUk/Uh7U-SYBjBI/AAAAAAAAAx0/rv-umTT4_YI/s1600/DSC_0092.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-InhrOJ1IRUk/Uh7U-SYBjBI/AAAAAAAAAx0/rv-umTT4_YI/s320/DSC_0092.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
First I just painted it black..Our nightstands & headboard are black, so of course go with black right?!? Oh you know me... Cant be satisfied with something simple & I decided I dont think I want black, I was using a flat black paint & I think I just wanted a little more shine. Instead of just waiting to put on a topcoat (there's that patience thing again) I then decided "what would happen if I rubbed stain (espresso colored) over the black?" I did that-now I had an espresso colored dresser, I had shine, but not the color I was looking for-I was thinking in my mind to go with more of a gray/charcoal. I then put on a quick coat of French Linen (ASCP)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-visLcv06Z_4/Uh7VWDNbCfI/AAAAAAAAAyw/H6yxot9jw_0/s1600/DSC_0129.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-visLcv06Z_4/Uh7VWDNbCfI/AAAAAAAAAyw/H6yxot9jw_0/s320/DSC_0129.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); color: black; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QBDf4nIIHIo/Uh7WXjoRRyI/AAAAAAAAA1c/39JVDxHtgxQ/s1600/DSC_0123.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QBDf4nIIHIo/Uh7WXjoRRyI/AAAAAAAAA1c/39JVDxHtgxQ/s320/DSC_0123.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); color: black; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kA3NIWV3kbE/Uh7WgZzTRPI/AAAAAAAAA1s/bGnlTUz-Dy8/s1600/DSC_0128.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kA3NIWV3kbE/Uh7WgZzTRPI/AAAAAAAAA1s/bGnlTUz-Dy8/s320/DSC_0128.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); color: black; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aKYqD2zyLEM/Uh7Wgt0iYfI/AAAAAAAAA1w/61xNJMD4Ow8/s1600/DSC_0132.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aKYqD2zyLEM/Uh7Wgt0iYfI/AAAAAAAAA1w/61xNJMD4Ow8/s320/DSC_0132.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
Love those legs! </div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); color: black; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HiOewpaHcqc/Uh7WgDohRMI/AAAAAAAAA1o/oar7k7R3dRQ/s1600/DSC_0131.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HiOewpaHcqc/Uh7WgDohRMI/AAAAAAAAA1o/oar7k7R3dRQ/s320/DSC_0131.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
Then to deepen it up a bit I put a coat of Ebony Minwax stain...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VvK31RI2xws/Uh7Vd36Dp1I/AAAAAAAAAzI/5EpoGZ_8zck/s1600/DSC_0122.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: black;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VvK31RI2xws/Uh7Vd36Dp1I/AAAAAAAAAzI/5EpoGZ_8zck/s320/DSC_0122.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></span></a></div>
The one on the left is stained, the one on the right- without...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zuJL0KbZrYg/Uh7VdrxuvNI/AAAAAAAAAzA/pbYtx8nCyNs/s1600/DSC_0134.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zuJL0KbZrYg/Uh7VdrxuvNI/AAAAAAAAAzA/pbYtx8nCyNs/s320/DSC_0134.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
Now we're getting somewhere! See in my mind I was like Oh my gosh just get this thing done! But if I wouldn't have put on the black, brown, & linen color, I wouldnt have been able to see all the great colors coming through! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PmVe7jz2i3k/Uh7Vd3r-dkI/AAAAAAAAAzE/x0b2uJTqe4M/s1600/DSC_0135.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PmVe7jz2i3k/Uh7Vd3r-dkI/AAAAAAAAAzE/x0b2uJTqe4M/s320/DSC_0135.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lok2oEmhn0A/Uh7VlDOoVhI/AAAAAAAAAzY/n0IXkEddubU/s1600/DSC_0140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lok2oEmhn0A/Uh7VlDOoVhI/AAAAAAAAAzY/n0IXkEddubU/s320/DSC_0140.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
I am absolutely in LOVE with it! I am so proud of this, this is by far the best project I think I've ever done!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4m4lwG2z3Fs/Uh7VofE7gfI/AAAAAAAAAzg/uk6__mYn0_Q/s1600/DSC_0145.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4m4lwG2z3Fs/Uh7VofE7gfI/AAAAAAAAAzg/uk6__mYn0_Q/s320/DSC_0145.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
I haven't done anything with the hardware yet either, I kinda like it the way it is, it may need a little something though..what do y'all think?? Maybe a little wax!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dnxKuN-Ha-E/Uh7Vsl_TtEI/AAAAAAAAAzw/QA3Wo44dfvA/s1600/DSC_0146.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dnxKuN-Ha-E/Uh7Vsl_TtEI/AAAAAAAAAzw/QA3Wo44dfvA/s320/DSC_0146.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

AM I WAY BEHIND OR WHAT?!? </div><div> I know it's been forever but I have been busy trying to get our house in order & let me tell ya, it is not easy getting anything done with two little ones. I need a clone, maybe two, the way my list keeps growing & growing everyday. I swear, no sooner than I get one thing crossed off, I have to add three more things to it! </div><div> BUT! I am SO excited to show all my progress whenever I finally get it all done (which will be soon I promise!) </div><div><br></div><div>Anyway, so here's my plain ole canisters... </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-k0-qo9Pv4ZI/VElKpmRWWdI/AAAAAAAAB0Q/j9iWjNIHme4/s640/blogger-image-1800256885.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-k0-qo9Pv4ZI/VElKpmRWWdI/AAAAAAAAB0Q/j9iWjNIHme4/s640/blogger-image-1800256885.jpg"></a></div><br></div></div><div><div><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> I got these cute little labels for my birthday from my mother & father in law. Supplies.</div><div>Have all your stuff on hand so you are ready to go with no interruptions. </div><div><br></div><div>- primer (I used a bonding primer) It doesnt matter what kind or brand- Ive used Kilz, Zinsser, etc. they are all about the same.</div><div><br></div><div>This bonding primer however says you dont have to sand & it says for glossy surfaces... </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-mgiqM5d-IdM/VAlPsOU7yQI/AAAAAAAABx4/YmMCHv1mysc/s640/blogger-image-200664613.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-mgiqM5d-IdM/VAlPsOU7yQI/AAAAAAAABx4/YmMCHv1mysc/s640/blogger-image-200664613.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-768wzWNwtko/VAky4htxeaI/AAAAAAAABxU/-XPIV9g_-Tk/s640/blogger-image-656248365.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-768wzWNwtko/VAky4htxeaI/AAAAAAAABxU/-XPIV9g_-Tk/s640/blogger-image-656248365.jpg"></a></div>I'd say we've got some gloss going on!! </div></div><div><br></div><div>- paint (dont go cheap on this, no matter what brand you get or where you get it from get the top of the line- Benjamin Moore is probably my favorite- It'll cost ya about $60/gallon-I did get the contactor price on it before & it was cheaper... I used Valspar Reserve brand for this project- it was $40/gallon. Maybe its not important to use good paint, I dont know, but Im not going through all this hard work & have to redo it later) </div><div><br></div><div>The paint color I chose was Paramount White in Satin. Like I said in my previous post... Choose paint colors at home in your own lighting- it makes a HUGE difference! </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-y2wN6qhYDb0/VAkyn72gCQI/AAAAAAAABws/S1n8fY9dl4Q/s640/blogger-image-1355174048.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-y2wN6qhYDb0/VAkyn72gCQI/AAAAAAAABws/S1n8fY9dl4Q/s640/blogger-image-1355174048.jpg"></a></div>My method was to tape samples to the cabinets & step back to compare :) </div><div><br></div><div>-paint brush... I used an angled 1&1/2- again get a decent one.. Mine was around $8.00</div><div>-paint tray</div><div>-Sanding blocks (med/fine grit) just in case you have a rough spot or some stubborn grease that wont come off & touch ups for later</div><div>-foam roller & frame (I had 2 brushes & rollers- one for paint & one for primer) </div><div>-Clorox/Lysol whatever brand Wipes</div><div>-Misc/optional...drop cloth (I used boxes since we had just moved & had several on hand) painters tape, drill- to remove hardware,spray paint if you want to paint your hardware. </div><div><br></div><div>- Remove all the hardware from each door & drawer & place in a ziploc bag or a bowl (seriously do this because things will get messy & they will get lost) </div><div>- Remove the cabinet doors from the hinges. I left the hinges on each cabinet, just detached the doors. <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-LvdaaV7cAUU/VAkyiYd2OJI/AAAAAAAABwU/fL9Y-qXSMK8/s640/blogger-image--1157326801.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-LvdaaV7cAUU/VAkyiYd2OJI/AAAAAAAABwU/fL9Y-qXSMK8/s640/blogger-image--1157326801.jpg"></a></div><br></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">EXCEPT... </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Above my sink... I decided I wanted this cubby to stay open, then remove all hinges & putty/caulk in where the screw holes were </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-7igZBZtxwQM/VAky2gUVJ0I/AAAAAAAABxM/xY7tnazMoNM/s640/blogger-image-2133580727.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-7igZBZtxwQM/VAky2gUVJ0I/AAAAAAAABxM/xY7tnazMoNM/s640/blogger-image-2133580727.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-DRfKqdiVK6o/VAkykqT9kYI/AAAAAAAABwc/oaFAexrPjes/s640/blogger-image-701442919.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-DRfKqdiVK6o/VAkykqT9kYI/AAAAAAAABwc/oaFAexrPjes/s640/blogger-image-701442919.jpg"></a></div></div><br></div><div> Also place these pieces in a bowl or bag so you can find them later. I did not paint the insides of my cabinets,(except for the open one) so I left everything in there. I did however take everything out of the drawers. </div><div><br></div><div>- Set up sawhorses with boards on them or just boards on the floor to have something to set your cabinet doors up on </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-AqxQa6h4upA/VAkyesgo--I/AAAAAAAABwE/Y-sa-STGexk/s640/blogger-image-1760871324.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-AqxQa6h4upA/VAkyesgo--I/AAAAAAAABwE/Y-sa-STGexk/s640/blogger-image-1760871324.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div>- Lay out your doors on the sawhorses & wipe them all down with your wipes- if you choose to sand- then do that first, then wipe off with the wipes. The wipes help get all the dirt, grease, & dust off. </div><div><br></div><div>**I did do a light sand on my first few cabinets & then I remembered the paint counter guy said with this primer you dont have to sand or remove any gloss. Sure enough the directions on the can said the same. So I decided I was happy with no sanding! **</div><div><br></div><div>Put on your 1st coat of primer. I started with the back side of the cabinets, then flipped to the front. After priming, I put my first coat on the back also, that way the front of the cabinets wouldn't have to be facedown, so I would have less flaws that way. </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-yoXlrqygHas/VAky6qjQWuI/AAAAAAAABxc/v_94ZZ7e-oc/s640/blogger-image-1806493064.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-yoXlrqygHas/VAky6qjQWuI/AAAAAAAABxc/v_94ZZ7e-oc/s640/blogger-image-1806493064.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Your house will be a disaster for a few days... </div><br></div><div>After my priming was done, I primed & painted the bases of the cabinets & trim. </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-9X6I7kgu6wc/VAkygsSVQ3I/AAAAAAAABwM/Yjf0PvivHG8/s640/blogger-image--454899532.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-9X6I7kgu6wc/VAkygsSVQ3I/AAAAAAAABwM/Yjf0PvivHG8/s640/blogger-image--454899532.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I wiped all of these down before painting as well. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-84bpDgSm5NA/VAkyqVrDikI/AAAAAAAABw0/B-z1W0SOME8/s640/blogger-image--512453606.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-84bpDgSm5NA/VAkyqVrDikI/AAAAAAAABw0/B-z1W0SOME8/s640/blogger-image--512453606.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-fO6heleojKU/VAky1LxYIII/AAAAAAAABxE/d-wq9wrLC2U/s640/blogger-image--70429972.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-fO6heleojKU/VAky1LxYIII/AAAAAAAABxE/d-wq9wrLC2U/s640/blogger-image--70429972.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-GLaU6W7otaw/VAkymNzef1I/AAAAAAAABwk/nfmU19VhU-Q/s640/blogger-image-652709859.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-GLaU6W7otaw/VAkymNzef1I/AAAAAAAABwk/nfmU19VhU-Q/s640/blogger-image-652709859.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-mLCXWS9ZCck/VAkyzaByBQI/AAAAAAAABw8/NFOkpwPMPws/s640/blogger-image--2095754074.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-mLCXWS9ZCck/VAkyzaByBQI/AAAAAAAABw8/NFOkpwPMPws/s640/blogger-image--2095754074.jpg"></a></div><br></div>The primer dries pretty quickly, so I was able to prime front & back sides & the get a coat of paint on the back sides of the cabinets all in the same day. So the next day I just had to do the fronts of the cabinets. I only did one coat of paint on the back of the doors, but I did two coats on the outsides of the doors. </div><div><br></div><div>BEFORE... </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-PLO1ZnY_DQc/VAk2wDK8WsI/AAAAAAAABxk/I6gMlBkZBCw/s640/blogger-image-2089946571.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-PLO1ZnY_DQc/VAk2wDK8WsI/AAAAAAAABxk/I6gMlBkZBCw/s640/blogger-image-2089946571.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">AFTER... </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-_lbfbTpJClQ/VAk2yWnZlsI/AAAAAAAABxs/Pf3grG9BmyI/s640/blogger-image-1412778299.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-_lbfbTpJClQ/VAk2yWnZlsI/AAAAAAAABxs/Pf3grG9BmyI/s640/blogger-image-1412778299.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">You will have places you have to go back & touch up on- especially when you go to hang them back up, I had a few little dings here & there. I did not do any kind of polyurethane or sealer over the top. It already feels like somebody came in & turned on the lights- its so much brighter in my kitchen now & once I get the doors put back on it will brighten the room up even more. <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Mgk0KbroMIs/VATtq9E_MCI/AAAAAAAABsk/bZTxa4KnDEA/s640/blogger-image-1347686034.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Mgk0KbroMIs/VATtq9E_MCI/AAAAAAAABsk/bZTxa4KnDEA/s640/blogger-image-1347686034.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-vi5HpUxyKuM/VAXN7f8yhQI/AAAAAAAABuM/IhBdPtgbv98/s640/blogger-image--78950655.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-vi5HpUxyKuM/VAXN7f8yhQI/AAAAAAAABuM/IhBdPtgbv98/s640/blogger-image--78950655.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">All the cabinets are primed & painted... </span></div></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-2WFWql8l43s/VATtwAJE6RI/AAAAAAAABss/uH21EyIgMTU/s640/blogger-image-2064209759.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-2WFWql8l43s/VATtwAJE6RI/AAAAAAAABss/uH21EyIgMTU/s640/blogger-image-2064209759.jpg"></a></div></div>Ive got cabinets everywhere!! Im in the middle of tearing apart my kitchen, but before I get to the good stuff I want to show what I have planned for this kitchen. <div> First off... The Island! </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-c3uf7IyR9Gs/VAQJEpJ5TfI/AAAAAAAABro/3UADaD07mzU/s640/blogger-image--510721609.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-c3uf7IyR9Gs/VAQJEpJ5TfI/AAAAAAAABro/3UADaD07mzU/s640/blogger-image--510721609.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I know, I know... "What's wrong with it?!?" </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4piirV_EAGg/VAQJC6dfFlI/AAAAAAAABrg/Qxo8rZECzlM/s640/blogger-image--1150711119.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4piirV_EAGg/VAQJC6dfFlI/AAAAAAAABrg/Qxo8rZECzlM/s640/blogger-image--1150711119.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Nothing is "wrong" with it... Its me- I'm crazy! (I know that's really what people think when I say I want to get rid of it.) I would just rather have something with drawers & cabinets for more storage is all.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So the plan... Hopefully move it out in one piece & design a new one :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">(Oh & to do this without spending any or much money because I dont have a job remember- haha!) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Next off... Paint the cabinets! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Like I had mentioned in my previous post- too much oak. I just LOVE white cabinets. I know some people cringe at the thought of painting beautiful wood, but this just isnt me. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-z-5Q1NNEofg/VAQJL7v5z0I/AAAAAAAABsI/MlOGlcaihuI/s640/blogger-image--596837664.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-z-5Q1NNEofg/VAQJL7v5z0I/AAAAAAAABsI/MlOGlcaihuI/s640/blogger-image--596837664.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The hardware! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I know I mentioned this in my previous post as well... But these had to go! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-eAfCv1axBXc/VAQJGNGltXI/AAAAAAAABrw/vqUB5bsf3H4/s640/blogger-image--1876550804.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-eAfCv1axBXc/VAQJGNGltXI/AAAAAAAABrw/vqUB5bsf3H4/s640/blogger-image--1876550804.jpg"></a></div></div> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And actually I was talking to my mother & father in law the other day about our kitchen & they had their old cabinet hardware that they gave to me... Cant beat FREE!! By the way, have you priced hardware lately?!? Good grief, I was trying to go cheap & they were still $3 & something for one! The ones I really liked were $5 or $7 or something like that, but there is no way! I needed 37 of them! Luckily my inlaws had 38 & they just happened to be the same size I needed.... Its my lucky day :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-g0ePptNtq5I/VAQJHdntBdI/AAAAAAAABr4/tToF25qYASI/s640/blogger-image-885498911.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-g0ePptNtq5I/VAQJHdntBdI/AAAAAAAABr4/tToF25qYASI/s640/blogger-image-885498911.jpg"></a></div></div><br></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And lastly... The pantry! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Uj2XgonsCLI/VAQJKEdJ8dI/AAAAAAAABsA/KYrUmuiR2z4/s640/blogger-image--954365282.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Uj2XgonsCLI/VAQJKEdJ8dI/AAAAAAAABsA/KYrUmuiR2z4/s640/blogger-image--954365282.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Im excited about this part! Well Im excited about it all, but I know how the other part will turn out- its a "been there, done that" kinda project since I've painted my kitchen cabinets before. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Anyway! Ive got a visual in my mind how I want this to turn out, so hopefully it works! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The pantry is the recessed area of cabinets. Unfortunately the first door is just a furnace closet.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I've decided I want that to look like a built in piece of furniture, like a hutch. So my plan is to either... </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">A) take off the upper cabinet doors & leave an open space up there for glass, pretty dishes to display, etc. That will be the cheapest way... </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> <b>OR</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">B) is to take out the top panel of the big doors & add glass. If I can do it myself or find someone that will for a reasonable cost I will do that, we shall see. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Either way this whole set of cabinets will be stained dark... Not painted white like my cabinets. My goal is to make it look like an antique hutch. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I'll keep ya posted!! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><b><i>Kelly :) </i></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><br></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-20600919897666849032014-08-31T21:02:00.001-07:002014-08-31T21:43:14.265-07:00New house- phase 1... Kitchen Hey all! <div> We got moved in our new house last Friday & I've been busy getting everything unpacked, which has gone surprisingly well with the two little ones. </div><div> My mom came down for a visit this weekend & I wasn't planning on tackling any projects just yet (I was wanting to get everything organized before I made more messes) because chaos makes me crazy! BUT... She was willing to watch the little ones day & night while I worked away trying to get the majority of it done while she was here. So I decided lets do this & tore right into it! </div><div> Our new house doesn't need alot... Mostly just paint & I want to update a few odds & end things (well let me rephrase that... Does anything I ever do a NEED!?!) Im just not happy unless I can redo something ;) </div><div> Anyway... So the first thing... Kitchen! The cabinet color just wasnt appealing to me & I knew I wanted to change it first. <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-PGpRIctcyCM/VAP5A6ZpBgI/AAAAAAAABrI/ssmSsfsRft8/s640/blogger-image--409693022.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-PGpRIctcyCM/VAP5A6ZpBgI/AAAAAAAABrI/ssmSsfsRft8/s640/blogger-image--409693022.jpg"></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The quality of these pictures are not so great... <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-4lfl6DHGjxU/VAP3s0Aa7OI/AAAAAAAABq8/eHIgBDV-GXU/s640/blogger-image--67342568.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-4lfl6DHGjxU/VAP3s0Aa7OI/AAAAAAAABq8/eHIgBDV-GXU/s640/blogger-image--67342568.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The countertops look a little green in the pictures, but they are actually more of a creme & brown. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2wrAD26nCso/VAP3rB1HslI/AAAAAAAABq0/ir0jMgqZGt0/s640/blogger-image--1808322972.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2wrAD26nCso/VAP3rB1HslI/AAAAAAAABq0/ir0jMgqZGt0/s640/blogger-image--1808322972.jpg"></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thats better! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-iYOqXjJYuSo/VAP3lHtSDBI/AAAAAAAABqc/x9dcVSR-ZmA/s640/blogger-image-109731679.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-iYOqXjJYuSo/VAP3lHtSDBI/AAAAAAAABqc/x9dcVSR-ZmA/s640/blogger-image-109731679.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">There is alot of oak going on in here... </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-cGvIxy2t6xs/VAP5X72MBrI/AAAAAAAABrQ/3zytFu4B2qQ/s640/blogger-image--1295025376.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-cGvIxy2t6xs/VAP5X72MBrI/AAAAAAAABrQ/3zytFu4B2qQ/s640/blogger-image--1295025376.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Some of the oaks dont match either :( </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_BuwtkuBKaQ/VAP3puPsoZI/AAAAAAAABqs/Ok1OUJB4Mjw/s640/blogger-image--1201194792.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_BuwtkuBKaQ/VAP3puPsoZI/AAAAAAAABqs/Ok1OUJB4Mjw/s640/blogger-image--1201194792.jpg"></a></div></div>Oh & the hardware!! 😁 No offense if anyone has this, its just not my style... And DO NOT I repeat DO NOT even attempt to look at paint samples at the store after you have chose your color at home!! TRUST ME! You'll go crazy, you will second guess your color choice & you will want to change your mind again & again. I have FINALLY learned after several hundred paint cans (probably more than that actually, I have painted ALOT in my lifetime) take the time to do this step! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I am THRILLED with my paint color I chose for the cabinets. Im so thrilled with it I walked off & left my paint sample at the paint counter... But you'll see it soon enough :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Cant wait for that!! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><b><i>Kelly :) </i></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><br></div></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-15958379372297492172014-08-13T08:53:00.001-07:002014-08-14T20:00:19.008-07:00Knock On Wood! Well... I should have just knocked on wood... My last post... (which was forever ago now-trust me I know my blog has been abandoned!) My last post was about Texas, how we loved it here, etc.etc. Well a few weeks back my husband was offered a job in Illinois around the Springfield area (actually it was July 15th- 2 days after we had got back from vacation up there visiting family & friends) It would have been just a bit more convienient if we had known about the move when we were up there visiting but ya know... Whats another 14 hours one-way in the car with a 2 year old & a newborn- ha! Actually they are really good travelers, but its no fun for anyone being in a car that long. <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-3ntJcPV8XcA/U-uPBzxJF4I/AAAAAAAABoQ/SbCzBHdDCHM/s640/blogger-image--691237067.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-3ntJcPV8XcA/U-uPBzxJF4I/AAAAAAAABoQ/SbCzBHdDCHM/s640/blogger-image--691237067.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-BHDtZIHfs8I/U-uPFun2BcI/AAAAAAAABog/xeZIgRz_SQk/s640/blogger-image-842546778.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-BHDtZIHfs8I/U-uPFun2BcI/AAAAAAAABog/xeZIgRz_SQk/s640/blogger-image-842546778.jpg"></a></div><br></div>So we turned around about a week later & headed back up to Illinois to house hunt. </div><div>We looked at 21 houses in a day & a half.</div><div>It didnt quite work out as well as when we moved to Texas. When we were house hunting here we were both pretty sure from the pictures on the internet which house we wanted & when we came to look sure enough it was the one! Well... This time around we thought we had the one, well when we looked at "the one" it just wasnt the one. So back to the drawing board.... </div><div>We weren't expecting to look at so many houses, but we just weren't having any luck. Finally we found one we liked... Well my husband liked. I liked it, but I wasn't in love... Ya know the feeling of "ya know when you know" I didnt have that excited, oh my gosh this is it! You get the idea....</div><div>We left the house he liked & still had one more to look at. My stomach was in knots... He was like "no this house is perfect, lets just make an offer, we've looked at tons of houses lets just buy this one," etc... </div><div>Until we got to "our" house... The LAST & final of 21 houses. I LOVE the cape cod style of houses, but the pictures on the listing did not do it any justice at all! I never would have guessed it was as nice on the inside as it is. There are a few things Im going to do to it (of course, right?!?) So here's a sneak peek... <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-i3_d-OTXsEk/U-uPEKKCuwI/AAAAAAAABoY/FX68qlEXC20/s640/blogger-image--331543372.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-i3_d-OTXsEk/U-uPEKKCuwI/AAAAAAAABoY/FX68qlEXC20/s640/blogger-image--331543372.jpg"></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Its just the perfect house for us! All of the houses we looked at were either WAY too big or "if this one just had a toyroom or a den..." It was one extreme or the other. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">We are going to miss Texas dearly. We have been so blessed here & have met so many amazing people, but we do also know the importance of being close to family, so it is bittersweet. But just as when we moved here it seems like this is the path that God has chosen for us, it has all fallen into place. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So... Stay tuned for the good stuff! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><b><i>Kelly :)</i></b></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-19507887681793809632014-06-06T02:45:00.001-07:002014-06-06T06:35:00.809-07:00One year already!!<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Wow! We have been so blessed to meet so many wonderful, caring people- total strangers who have gone out of their way & now have become forever friends. We have a wonderful church that we absolutely LOVE... Great neighbors that we've become close to that treat our children like their own grandchildren & we have been blessed with another beautiful baby girl. Sure its hard being away from family, & we left alot of great friends as well... we moved here without knowing a single person or really anything about the town. Our marriage has grown stronger, my faith has grown stronger, I feel like Im a better wife & mom, I feel like Ive stepped away from the negativity in my life & focused more on the positive. Thank you God for bringing us here... And thank you Texas for being so good to us! <br><br><br></span></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-26241237711936752442014-05-21T12:36:00.001-07:002014-06-01T23:04:38.712-07:00Everly's Nursery<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Well my baby is now 3 weeks old & I realized... <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">I never shared the final nursery! </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">So... Three pushes & she was out! I was to be induced at 7am, but I went in around 1:30am because my contractions were about 8 min apart. I was already dilated to 4cm, & my contractions were never very strong. At 7cm I still was in no pain, but went ahead & got an epidural. The nurse said if I waited too much longer she'd be afraid it would be too late to get one. Had I known it would've only taken 3 pushes, I may have skipped the epidural! They broke my water around 8am & she was born at 2:17pm. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-MSnU4M8K7d8/U3ueCauYKmI/AAAAAAAABhI/aLfjakZmh5E/s640/blogger-image--350006172.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-MSnU4M8K7d8/U3ueCauYKmI/AAAAAAAABhI/aLfjakZmh5E/s640/blogger-image--350006172.jpg"></a></div>We got to bring her home on Mothers Day :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-DD_BjEJpsK4/U3ud_NxrEcI/AAAAAAAABhA/RAI9dZAYCT0/s640/blogger-image--1387752848.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-DD_BjEJpsK4/U3ud_NxrEcI/AAAAAAAABhA/RAI9dZAYCT0/s640/blogger-image--1387752848.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-OQuPDrP2Vaw/U3ueEUlsQ_I/AAAAAAAABhQ/CbUbp_8XNPY/s640/blogger-image--1088845751.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-OQuPDrP2Vaw/U3ueEUlsQ_I/AAAAAAAABhQ/CbUbp_8XNPY/s640/blogger-image--1088845751.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Its been an adjustment with 2 now... I had my 39 week dr appt today. They did an ultrasound to estimate how big our baby girl is getting. She is approx 8lbs 13ozs, above 90th percentile so they will go ahead & induce on Friday (they would've done it tomorrow but they were already full for inductions.) But she really doesnt think I'll make it until Friday! She also checked me today & I am dilated between a 3 & 4 & alot lower than last week. <div> Poor baby is so squished in there, she is running out of room. We didnt get very good pictures today because she's so squished. </div><div> <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dDJY29QOUh0/U2qgh031_uI/AAAAAAAABgU/LTVI23GAhng/s640/blogger-image--827797647.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dDJY29QOUh0/U2qgh031_uI/AAAAAAAABgU/LTVI23GAhng/s640/blogger-image--827797647.jpg"></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> You can kind of make out a little face on there. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And one of my last belly pictures... </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Hj0Q28oHXAc/U2qhjHRk37I/AAAAAAAABgc/i2nLP8gMlhI/s640/blogger-image-2127400110.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Hj0Q28oHXAc/U2qhjHRk37I/AAAAAAAABgc/i2nLP8gMlhI/s640/blogger-image-2127400110.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I'm at a grand total of 21lbs, even though I feel a heck of a lot bigger than that! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I cant believe little Everly will be here soon! Cant wait to hold her :) </div><br></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-42150404345075346122014-04-25T09:31:00.001-07:002014-04-25T18:38:14.286-07:0037 weeks Hey all! As of right now I am over 37 weeks & counting down the days until miss Everly makes her appearance. <div> I'm pretty sure I've gained all my weight in my tummy this time...20lbs so far... No swelling though like when I had Reese (I gained close to 50 with her!) And my poor ankles & toes... </div><div>This was what my feet looked like with Reese... Yikes! </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Z3Y_Esk8U38/U1sOAXlquYI/AAAAAAAABe4/Xp30C7CXl5U/s640/blogger-image-1957160248.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Z3Y_Esk8U38/U1sOAXlquYI/AAAAAAAABe4/Xp30C7CXl5U/s640/blogger-image-1957160248.jpg"></a></div></div><div> The baby this week is (average) the size of a watermelon. When we had our sonogram about a week ago our baby was approx 6lbs 15oz. So we will do a repeat sono in about a week & a half (she said if Im still pregnant) and see how big she is then. If she is in the 90th percentile I will be induced. </div><div> My doctor appt this week I was 30% effaced, almost 2 cm dialated, & baby was at a -3 station. <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-sZA_uj6in6o/U1qN4Es31fI/AAAAAAAABeY/dNEH6uYBOxo/s640/blogger-image-1500626863.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-sZA_uj6in6o/U1qN4Es31fI/AAAAAAAABeY/dNEH6uYBOxo/s640/blogger-image-1500626863.jpg"></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Here's a little diagram I found about "stationing." I was never told with Reese what station I was at. -3 station just means the babies head is pushing down on my cervix & causing it to dialate. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> And a picture of our baby last week.., </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-SqSvShWCQHc/U1qN5hUlV9I/AAAAAAAABeg/lqrFOZZE8JA/s640/blogger-image-1523488281.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-SqSvShWCQHc/U1qN5hUlV9I/AAAAAAAABeg/lqrFOZZE8JA/s640/blogger-image-1523488281.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Its not a great picture, its a picture of a picture, so it's a little blurry... But she looks like Reese in her sonogram picture :) </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> And now... My big belly! (My husband says my belly is bigger this time) </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-s2CHfJjdxx8/U1qN2oLBpbI/AAAAAAAABeQ/5LY40g13jRM/s640/blogger-image--35963963.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-s2CHfJjdxx8/U1qN2oLBpbI/AAAAAAAABeQ/5LY40g13jRM/s640/blogger-image--35963963.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I wasnt ready for the picture & this is the only one he got... But ya get the idea ;) These were taken on Easter, I was trying to get Reese to come over & get in the picture with me, but that didnt happen! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I did get a few of her though :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Isnt she adorable?!? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-V8ReU7cxqWg/U1qN7N1Y0SI/AAAAAAAABeo/9WkmVe7wajg/s640/blogger-image-2048559718.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-V8ReU7cxqWg/U1qN7N1Y0SI/AAAAAAAABeo/9WkmVe7wajg/s640/blogger-image-2048559718.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Haha! Dont let her fool ya... I had to bribe her to get her to pose :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Anyway! Ive about got everything wrapped up in the nursery, so I'll be posting pictures of that soon. Ive got two more things I'm waiting on before its complete & they should be here any day. I tell ya... I think I've forgotten how much stuff such a little baby needs! It has been fun buying some new stuff, & its crazy how much things have changed in just 2 &1/2 years since I had Reese. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Til next time 💝 </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><b><i>Kelly :) </i></b></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><br></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> </div><br></div><br></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-71712067415622308042014-04-11T20:02:00.001-07:002014-04-11T20:02:35.466-07:00A Few More Maternity Pics Hi there! Of course I did a lot of research trying to find the cheapest way, or cheapest place & decided to take the plunge & just do it myself. <div> If you look close they arent as great as what a place or company would've done for me, but as much as I like to change & re-do, I didnt want to spend hundreds of dollars on this & not like the way it turned out. </div><div> So, on with the show!!! </div><div>First what I did was measure above our bed to determine the size I wanted. I also knew I wanted them to be square, so that eliminated several places from doing them because they only offer standard sizes like 8x10, 16x20, etc.. </div><div> So....here's the area above the bed where the canvas will go... I someday will repaint our bedroom, only reason being where the previous nail holes where you can see the spots & it makes me crazy!! But right now Im not about to move that bed out of here, so, I have to live with it for now :(<div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--txxTsoJ_1M/U0SuSn8x-lI/AAAAAAAABaM/HiSIBe7Zi4U/s640/blogger-image--94844665.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--txxTsoJ_1M/U0SuSn8x-lI/AAAAAAAABaM/HiSIBe7Zi4U/s640/blogger-image--94844665.jpg"></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Then I went to Hobby Lobby & bought 2- 18 x 18 square canvas. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-URCsBC5AjPg/U0SuVPBwreI/AAAAAAAABac/4doKOMXgYN8/s640/blogger-image--2013693355.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-URCsBC5AjPg/U0SuVPBwreI/AAAAAAAABac/4doKOMXgYN8/s640/blogger-image--2013693355.jpg"></a></div></div> $13.99 a piece & they were 50% off! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Then I ordered 20 x 20 (bigger so I could wrap them around the edges) prints from Shutterfly. They were $10 a piece. Ive seen some easy DIY canvas where you can paint the edges, but I wanted the wrap around look. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-W31u38YOPb0/U0SuPPirTQI/AAAAAAAABZ8/3hTbOodWwaE/s640/blogger-image-463108403.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-W31u38YOPb0/U0SuPPirTQI/AAAAAAAABZ8/3hTbOodWwaE/s640/blogger-image-463108403.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-66ARWvNR26A/U0SuQjOO1NI/AAAAAAAABaE/_VxWCKWehYo/s640/blogger-image--1247127416.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-66ARWvNR26A/U0SuQjOO1NI/AAAAAAAABaE/_VxWCKWehYo/s640/blogger-image--1247127416.jpg"></a></div></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> To apply the picture to the canvas, I just laid the picture up-side down, laid the canvas on top of it to get an idea of the position of it & then cover the whole canvas in Modpodge (I used a foam brush.) Dont be stingy with the modpodge either! You'll want a good amount. Then position the picture where you want it & press down good on the back side (so you dont get any fingerprints or anything on the actual picture) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> I also taped the back of mine to give it some reinforcement. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-kP_41-1Xf9I/U0SuT5QvufI/AAAAAAAABaU/wi63YViKeNc/s640/blogger-image--770304731.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-kP_41-1Xf9I/U0SuT5QvufI/AAAAAAAABaU/wi63YViKeNc/s640/blogger-image--770304731.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Just duct tape! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7zmhTuB8WYA/U0SuWi38sPI/AAAAAAAABak/8yBLO7Q1_Ek/s640/blogger-image--608360583.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7zmhTuB8WYA/U0SuWi38sPI/AAAAAAAABak/8yBLO7Q1_Ek/s640/blogger-image--608360583.jpg"></a></div></div> Doesn't have to be pretty... You wont see it anyway :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Now the scary part!! I've done this with photos over wood before, but for some reason it was scarier on a canvas! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Turn over to the front part of the canvas & smear modpodge all over the front of your picture, not only will it help adhere to the canvas it will also give it a more matte look. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> After I smeared modpodge all over the front of my picture I took a scrap piece of fabric I had & laid it over the top of the canvas & pressed down. Then remove & hang!! Voila! Not bad compared to several I found that were $75 a piece & like I said, they dont have near the quality as if a professional were to do them, but Im happy with them :) </div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-31660274151933874532014-03-15T07:24:00.001-07:002014-03-15T07:24:39.913-07:00Maternity Pics<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> We just got a sneak peek of our maternity pics & I wanted to share! Ive been busy, busy as usual. I dont know if you call it spring cleaning or nesting?!? I cant believe how fast the time is going! I only have 9 & 1/2 more weeks to go! Here's a few of my latest belly shot... <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-y-y6OOsYJ78/Uxn-qHWjrNI/AAAAAAAABY8/IeX5ABnsu4c/s640/blogger-image--1200005163.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-y-y6OOsYJ78/Uxn-qHWjrNI/AAAAAAAABY8/IeX5ABnsu4c/s640/blogger-image--1200005163.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-cV2B6Zkj0T4/Uxn-r08CnrI/AAAAAAAABZE/pkxsOr9P8Xs/s640/blogger-image-517788534.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-cV2B6Zkj0T4/Uxn-r08CnrI/AAAAAAAABZE/pkxsOr9P8Xs/s640/blogger-image-517788534.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So far Ive gained about 16lbs. Thats about 1/2 of what I gained with Reese so far... I gained almost 50 with her! Yikes! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The baby this week is the size of a butternut squash & is approx 17 inches long & weighs a little over 3lbs now. She's moving like crazy! Reese got to feel her kick yesterday. She usually doesnt keep her hand on my belly long enough to feel anything, but she finally did :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> At my last dr appt I had my glucose test, which I passed, but I also found out I was anemic. Now I have to take medicine for that, which is really kind of a pain. You're supposed to take it in the morning on an empty stomach, one hour before, or two hours after a meal. Well when an 8 month pregnant lady is hungry, she's hungry & baby dont like to wait for a meal! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So between the braxton hicks I've been having & being anemic I need to be winding down on the house cleaning. So I've got a couple more weeks left & Ill be staying home full time again. I got rid of the booth I was renting at the antique mall, I wont have time to keep up with that for awhile. Reese is really going to miss being around the other kids at daycare, but she can get into a program at our church when she's 3, so she'll have to be home with me for a year. She's going to be a great big sister & helper though, I just know it :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> We are getting maternity pictures taken this weekend, so let's hope those turn out! Our photographer does a great job, it'll be if little miss Reese cooperates.. She doesnt like the camera on her :( </div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> I still havent had much for cravings.... heartburn like crazy though! I've gotten to the uncomfortable part of pregnancy when it comes to sleep. I have to get up & potty about every 2-3 hours. I sleep with about 4 pillows & about the time I get comfy its time to get up & potty again. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I'll get another sonogram at 36 weeks, I'm anxiously waiting for that! Can't wait to see her little face again! Im curious to see how much her & Reese look alike. I know they'll both have blonde hair & blue eyes, Reese was born with dark hair, but it all fell out & came back blonde. Im just so excited & so blessed to be having another baby! I know somedays are rougher than others, but it is SO worth it in the end :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thanks as always... </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><b>Kelly :) </b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> </div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-19499352459672872542014-02-15T12:53:00.001-08:002014-02-15T13:16:31.416-08:00EVERLY IT IS!! So now that we've FINALLY agreed on a name I can get on with the fun stuff with the nursery!! <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-11BQnsK4skA/Uv_WxQ6xmoI/AAAAAAAABXg/IJQXX3NIbII/s640/blogger-image-2033291931.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-11BQnsK4skA/Uv_WxQ6xmoI/AAAAAAAABXg/IJQXX3NIbII/s640/blogger-image-2033291931.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-bctpVZ8c6Pw/Uv_WvA78erI/AAAAAAAABXY/vjFLpoYBgVY/s640/blogger-image--1467585115.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-bctpVZ8c6Pw/Uv_WvA78erI/AAAAAAAABXY/vjFLpoYBgVY/s640/blogger-image--1467585115.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I saw these letters at a store here in town & I went home & told my husband, ok we need to hurry up & make a decision because I NEEDED this in the nursery!! It was perfect! So after a couple days the agreement was I got the first name & he gets the middle name... Agreed... On one condition... Her middle name can't begin with "G" then her initials would be EGG. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Anyway, so EVERLY it is!! He says he's not calling her Everly though, he will call her Evie... Which is great too!! Im just glad we've finally got it figured out & now I can relax about it... Haha! I'm such a planner, I couldn't wait until she's here to decide! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-1Y60WoEsZT4/Uv_WzS57_yI/AAAAAAAABXo/FcbQJO9tw8U/s640/blogger-image--1539494648.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-1Y60WoEsZT4/Uv_WzS57_yI/AAAAAAAABXo/FcbQJO9tw8U/s640/blogger-image--1539494648.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Here's a few pics of what is done so far :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-kSO5dyt8_Hw/Uv_WrT2ONzI/AAAAAAAABXQ/fRPApjp0yfg/s640/blogger-image-1852939887.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-kSO5dyt8_Hw/Uv_WrT2ONzI/AAAAAAAABXQ/fRPApjp0yfg/s640/blogger-image-1852939887.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-l5GIGpOJdto/Uv_ZLi6ZISI/AAAAAAAABX0/-bzLhe4CbFw/s640/blogger-image--1752352896.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-l5GIGpOJdto/Uv_ZLi6ZISI/AAAAAAAABX0/-bzLhe4CbFw/s640/blogger-image--1752352896.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><b><i>Kelly :) </i></b></div><br></div><br></div><br></div><br></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><br></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-47861567839869552892014-02-15T12:42:00.001-08:002014-02-15T12:42:36.338-08:00Ladder Shelf Redo This is just a quick little project I did, part of getting the nursery ready.... <div>I've had this handy little ladder shelf a long time & its been great for storage & display. I had painted it tan the last time (I believe this is the third time Ive painted it... Maybe fourth) Anyway... So in the nursery Im doing more of a gray theme, so I decided it needed painted again! </div><div>Here it is in Reese's room... </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-LPvhANSo7Bs/Uv_RDqyxVxI/AAAAAAAABWY/Akela7eEtKA/s640/blogger-image-1425230345.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-LPvhANSo7Bs/Uv_RDqyxVxI/AAAAAAAABWY/Akela7eEtKA/s640/blogger-image-1425230345.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-M1Xy6VaWeY4/Uv_RKVFbWZI/AAAAAAAABWw/5Fw14Ageixo/s640/blogger-image--1170219258.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-M1Xy6VaWeY4/Uv_RKVFbWZI/AAAAAAAABWw/5Fw14Ageixo/s640/blogger-image--1170219258.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So I stole it out of her room to put in the baby's room. I need the storage in the baby's room more then Reese needs it (for diapers & such) Plus Reese has a dresser in her room & I dont have room in the baby's room for a dresser since we need to keep the bed in there for guests. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Luckily we do have great closets that we dont necessarily need a dresser. I'll show all that when I do get the nursery done, for now... Back to the ladder shelf!! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> So, all I did was used the Annie Sloan chalk paint in French Linen (one of my favs!!) Brushed it on, took no time at all & Voila!! Im very happy with the way it turned out! And it goes great in the nursery :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-TMw78a1jXKk/Uv_RF6vxvMI/AAAAAAAABWg/1NOr-ZNsl1c/s640/blogger-image--872181918.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-TMw78a1jXKk/Uv_RF6vxvMI/AAAAAAAABWg/1NOr-ZNsl1c/s640/blogger-image--872181918.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-QnPnQjZf-tU/Uv_RINiRdhI/AAAAAAAABWo/zzgue4mP9nY/s640/blogger-image-717200906.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-QnPnQjZf-tU/Uv_RINiRdhI/AAAAAAAABWo/zzgue4mP9nY/s640/blogger-image-717200906.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Here's a before & after for better comparison :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-UiWQ_eMLm0s/Uv_RMhH5alI/AAAAAAAABW4/U04iBwNlVcc/s640/blogger-image--84915118.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-UiWQ_eMLm0s/Uv_RMhH5alI/AAAAAAAABW4/U04iBwNlVcc/s640/blogger-image--84915118.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-LA5tISBpU-M/Uv_ROtI8JzI/AAAAAAAABXA/BUFwbLcmlTc/s640/blogger-image-717570901.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-LA5tISBpU-M/Uv_ROtI8JzI/AAAAAAAABXA/BUFwbLcmlTc/s640/blogger-image-717570901.jpg"></a></div><br></div><br></div><b>Kelly :) </b></div></div><br></div><br></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-107004244741043293.post-36808678518119743682014-02-09T15:12:00.001-08:002014-02-09T19:06:30.313-08:0027 weeks WOW! Where have I been!?! Has a month really gone by?!? I have been busy, surprisingly, this time of year is usually boring, catch-up time... But it is seriously February already!! So I have alot of catching up to do!! <div> Well first of all I am now 27 weeks (crazy!) I don't know how its going by SO fast! Possibly because I have a 2 year old keeping me busy this time around. I only have 13 weeks left! Next week I will be in my 3rd trimester... Holy cow!! </div><div> At my dr appt last week everything is going good! Heartbeat was 145 & she was rolling around in there like crazy! I am measuring a week ahead, which really doesnt mean anything yet, I usually measured 2 weeks ahead with Reese. I have gained 13 lbs so far, which doesnt seem like much to me considering I gained almost 50 with Reese! Im hoping I dont swell like I did my 1st pregnancy. And I will say it is much nicer being pregnant this time of year than during the summer! </div><div> Anyway, so the baby this week is about the length of a cucumber (15 in) & weighs about 2 & 1/4lbs. Im really feeling alot if kicks & movement & I can actually see my stomach moving at times. Reese is pretty much obsessed with the baby & she lifts up my shirt all the time & says "baby come out?" I wonder what she'll be like when she gets here....</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-1Q3mcaGqpPg/UvgRlYXbgYI/AAAAAAAABVo/JuSENOMvubU/s640/blogger-image-1694405365.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-1Q3mcaGqpPg/UvgRlYXbgYI/AAAAAAAABVo/JuSENOMvubU/s640/blogger-image-1694405365.jpg"></a></div>Cravings lately have been caramel!! Salted caramel especially! Starbucks has a wonderful caramel drink with sea salt on top- oh my!! </div><div> We are still "debating" on the name... Im in love with Everly, my husband, not so much :( We would call her Evie, which he does like that, so we'll see if there is anything else we can come up with. Our other top names were Hallie, Elsie, & he said yesterday he liked Piper. I know last time I said we had it narrowed down to two, but he keeps changing his mind. I just want to start personalizing the nursery & I've got my eye on these gorgeous letters for the wall! </div><div> So the last picture we took was at 24 weeks, So this is the most recent I have & its already 3 weeks old!! </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-D4pZiWtOHO4/UvgRmg7DNWI/AAAAAAAABVw/4EQTljI1mIk/s640/blogger-image-2002821505.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-D4pZiWtOHO4/UvgRmg7DNWI/AAAAAAAABVw/4EQTljI1mIk/s640/blogger-image-2002821505.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">This belly photo session didnt turn out so well, but we are getting professional ones taken soon, so as long as Reese cooperates they will be much better :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> We've been working on the baby's room, it is painted & the crib is set up. But I have been going through all the clothes, blankets, etc & getting those organized. I got rid of most of my baby stuff when we moved, so Im trying to make a list of what I'll need to get yet. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Its crazy to think Reese just wore those clothes not too long ago & now Im hanging them in baby sister's closet! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And of course... Everything looked great, and yes its still a girl! She had her head turned so we only got to see half of her face this time. All her organs look good & I also found out that I have an anterior placenta. So thats the reason I havent felt much movement,(whew! Maybe now I'll finally stop worrying so much) the doctor said its basically like putting a steak between me & the baby (gross right!?!)<div>Her heartbeat was 150 & she <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">weighs 1lb 4oz, which is slightly bigger than average (not surprising, haha!) </span><br><div><div> So they said technically Im considered 23 weeks, even though my due date wont change, I will have another sono at 36 weeks to measure again. With Reese I always measured 2 weeks ahead! </div></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-4Opw__pfUHg/UsyUtwPdysI/AAAAAAAABU0/Ncqhw_4zayQ/s640/blogger-image--359161941.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-4Opw__pfUHg/UsyUtwPdysI/AAAAAAAABU0/Ncqhw_4zayQ/s640/blogger-image--359161941.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Here's the side of her face, you can see her ear pretty good!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-hQsPX1mAVas/UsyUvcAT6rI/AAAAAAAABU8/1BI6xuGSgE4/s640/blogger-image-659253023.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-hQsPX1mAVas/UsyUvcAT6rI/AAAAAAAABU8/1BI6xuGSgE4/s640/blogger-image-659253023.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Girl parts...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-At1fpd_9Ksc/UsyUsvg_kNI/AAAAAAAABUs/n0fDGr_0Irk/s640/blogger-image-1607099768.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-At1fpd_9Ksc/UsyUsvg_kNI/AAAAAAAABUs/n0fDGr_0Irk/s640/blogger-image-1607099768.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And her feet :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div></div>I've been feeling good, exercising & still have good energy. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I havent craved too much... Ive never been a big fan of jalapenos, but she made these with lunch one day & insisted I try one! I took one thinking yuck, but didnt want to offend her, so I ate it & Ive been hooked ever since & make them quite often now. Needless to say I tried not to be too big of a pig & I went back for two more! <div>Oh & did I mention they are super simple- only 3 ingredients!!</div><div>So, all you do is cut the stem of the peppers & core... Be careful you dont rub your eyes or anything! I wash mine after to make sure I got all the seeds... </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_VOWrfckDnA/UsoZxdKeHUI/AAAAAAAABUM/gbZBu_PaNmY/s640/blogger-image--1330382025.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_VOWrfckDnA/UsoZxdKeHUI/AAAAAAAABUM/gbZBu_PaNmY/s640/blogger-image--1330382025.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Then fill with cream cheese...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0EJIZ3TufLI/UsoZvrQGBEI/AAAAAAAABUE/CzRQuZhQa7M/s640/blogger-image-60665742.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0EJIZ3TufLI/UsoZvrQGBEI/AAAAAAAABUE/CzRQuZhQa7M/s640/blogger-image-60665742.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And wrap with bacon...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Sp74sTMApog/UsoZy5e6f4I/AAAAAAAABUU/TIy3iXeENUE/s640/blogger-image--1684645269.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Sp74sTMApog/UsoZy5e6f4I/AAAAAAAABUU/TIy3iXeENUE/s640/blogger-image--1684645269.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I stick a toothpick in mine so we can just eat them like little appetizers.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Cover with foil & bake at 400 for 60 min. Am I the only one that feels that way?</div><div> Its a little sad when its all over, all the hard work you put into everything... the shopping, the wrapping, the baking & cooking, decorating, traveling, etc etc! And its all over so soon, but I wouldnt skip it for anything!</div><div> Christmas just wouldnt be the same without all the hustle & bustle, and yet its sad that so many of us get wrapped up in that, that we forget the real meaning of Christmas. </div><div>Anyway, Im rambling! So, onto the decor!</div><div><br></div><div> My last little area of my Christmas decor is my wine bar area. (And yes I just realized I didnt take any pictures of my bookshelves, so I guess those will have to wait until next year) </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-mKVJDAzieE0/UseTiyjFRQI/AAAAAAAABTU/F1Tk-FJRefA/s640/blogger-image-832261775.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-mKVJDAzieE0/UseTiyjFRQI/AAAAAAAABTU/F1Tk-FJRefA/s640/blogger-image-832261775.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Nothing too exciting, just a cute little area I like to decorate...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-5CnBA9rqd-Q/UseTdRexHNI/AAAAAAAABTM/X1WKFen6UBY/s640/blogger-image-448123349.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-5CnBA9rqd-Q/UseTdRexHNI/AAAAAAAABTM/X1WKFen6UBY/s640/blogger-image-448123349.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Just a simple tray & some greenery</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-TjtvBfegMzU/UseTmReZZPI/AAAAAAAABTk/vLjZJM-_cek/s640/blogger-image--526633180.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-TjtvBfegMzU/UseTmReZZPI/AAAAAAAABTk/vLjZJM-_cek/s640/blogger-image--526633180.jpg"></a></div>This old window is great to decorate all year round, but I will say its my favorite at Christmas :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-MwxxBQExV78/UseTn6dq-AI/AAAAAAAABTs/lQF9lEV6yY8/s640/blogger-image--1093305356.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-MwxxBQExV78/UseTn6dq-AI/AAAAAAAABTs/lQF9lEV6yY8/s640/blogger-image--1093305356.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">My little ones Christmas picture this year...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Rme8CUTMU-U/UseTbw02l2I/AAAAAAAABTE/u1fgRrqsnsM/s640/blogger-image--37692443.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Rme8CUTMU-U/UseTbw02l2I/AAAAAAAABTE/u1fgRrqsnsM/s640/blogger-image--37692443.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HYdz1Q5On2U/UseTks_8m9I/AAAAAAAABTc/jZbpuPJOpJ0/s640/blogger-image-387904959.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HYdz1Q5On2U/UseTks_8m9I/AAAAAAAABTc/jZbpuPJOpJ0/s640/blogger-image-387904959.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thanks as always for stopping by!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><b>Kelly :)</b></div><br></div><br></div><br></div><br></div><br></div><br></div><br></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04704049564225518854noreply@blogger.com0
