Antique Side Table

My new side table... What do ya think? 
I picked up this baby at a rummage sale a couple weeks ago for $10!!

My mom said "Wow, I havent seen one of those in awhile!!" Haha!! I LOVE it!! Its so Retro! 
I knew right away I wanted it painted black & I would use it as a side table in place of where my tea cart is at the moment.
Here's a view of the top... One coat of paint- I wanted some of the wood to show through :) 
I wanted to get a close up of this- I used SC Johnsons paste wax to seal it. I since then have read a blog that said you werent supposed to use wax on black, but I did & I think it turned out great. 
I left the hardware alone on this piece... It had a dull brass look to it which I liked & it'll go with my antique lamp perfectly! 
Loved the way it turned out!!

      Thank you so much Patty! Im really liking the aqua too! Im getting ready to paint a piece I cant wait to finish it! Im not very good at this blog yet, so Ill try & figure out sending my post- thanks for the info!! Kelly :)
